MEDIATION action
The mediation project is at the same time the beginning and the extension of artistic creation Uprooted, a multidisciplinary performance combining dance theater, music and video projection. It is built in conjunction with neighborhood associations and other local intervention associations and is aimed at neighborhoods with a large mixed population.
The project proposes a work of transmission of memory and a common reflection on the themes of emigration and uprooting; it aims to give voice to those who by choice or necessity have migrated to France, to allow them to tell their stories.
Becoming aware of life experiences allows you to realize that no one is isolated, no one is alone. This is a reassuring feeling: we experience the same difficulties and can find a model or simply comfort in each other. To feel listened to, heard and accepted: this is probably what we need most, as strangers and as humans.
The project also offers access to work aimed at developing creativity, the discovery of an artistic culture and sensitivity to the forms of live performance. This work is based on the individual and collective experiences of the participants and is focused on different points:
- The development and transmission of memory
- A common reflection on the themes of emigration and uprooting
- The expression of an emotion through speech and/or bodily expression in relation to space.
For the year 2024-2025 labellepoque will work with the Neuhof Socio-Cultural Center and Espace Django.

EDUCATIONAL ACTION
This action is aimed at all levels of the school cycle and preferably middle and high schools.
It aims to develop students' creativity and the acquisition of an artistic culture and sensitivity to the forms of performing arts. It is centered on expression: elaboration and transmission of memory; joint reflection on the themes of emigration and uprooting; expression of emotion; creative work on vocabulary; work of bodily expression and relationship to space. It is based on individual and collective experience of artistic practice and articulates creation and reception.
The educational project is divided into 4 stages:
- Go to meet
- Understand and reflect
- Practice and create
- Share and return
For the 2024-2025 school year labellepoque is working with the Collège Erasme, Hautepierre district, Strasbourg, for a 30-hour educational project which will allow the staging of elements created by the students in the form of a short restitution show open to the students of the school and their families, in order to make visible and promote the work carried out .
