Fragility is the nature of memory.

Migration has different facets, it concerns all those who, through different events and for equally diverse reasons, are forced to leave their place of life for other places and other encounters. It is embodied by integration/acceptance or rejection, return or settlement, the cultural and economic contribution of emigrants. It is part of their host territory, with commitment or resignation, the link between past and present, the link between old and new generations.

Starting from the idea of ​​a collective memory composed of a myriad of stories, stories, questions and experiences scattered throughout our individual memories, we aim to identify a multitude of voices in order to highlight the plurality of History, because History must be told in its plurality and leaving room for what it can convey that is universal.

This multidisciplinary performance offers a sensory journey in which the spectator-traveler will be immersed in a geographical and temporal universe arousing their curiosity and provoking reflection, a questioning of their own values ​​and visions.

The emotion of a recited text, the work on the body and expressive movement, the sound work, images on the screen will reinforce the viewer's immersion in an “unforgettable” journey.

During the journey, the timeless dimension is revealed: living between two or more cultures, being torn between roots and new things, zwischen zwei Stuehlen is characteristic of the migrant, the exile, the refugee, the nomad…

IN YOUR HANDS is an exciting new multidisciplinary and modular performance. Through storytelling, dance, video projection, live and pre-recorded music, IN YOUR HANDS reflects on how human resilience allows us to overcome crises.
The first part BU KE YI (Mandarin for “cannot”) investigates the notion of prohibition. Four dancers explore the limits and possibilities behind the rules. Creativity and determination will show the way to overcome obstacles and difficulties and allow our mental elasticity to find new forms.
The second part of LOTUS FUGUE is a remake of the show created in 2021 and reflects on how beauty, nature and art, embodied by the painter Georgette Chen, play a fundamental role in our society. Art songs by French impressionists Faure and Debussy and an original soundtrack by Ming and Aryel will accompany you throughout this contemplation.

RESONANCES

RESONANCES is an exciting new multidisciplinary and modular performance. Through narration, movement, video projection, live and pre-recorded music, RESONANCES reflects on how human resilience allows us to overcome crises and how the beauty, nature and art exemplified by Georgette Chen play fundamental roles in our society. Art songs by French impressionists Fauré and Debussy and an original soundtrack by Robert Casteels will accompany you throughout this contemplation.
